Frequently Asked Questions — Arunamangala Retreat

What is the intention behind Arunamangala?
Arunamangala is not a resort — it is a sacred space for inner stillness, healing and conscious living. Near the holy Arunachala hill, our retreat supports meditation, spiritual inquiry and a life rooted in simplicity, silence and harmony with nature.
What kind of accommodation is available?
Each room is a calm, earth-toned cocoon: two separate teak-wood cots with crisp cotton linens, soft lighting, and hand-woven rugs create a warm, minimalist elegance. Large windows frame an uninterrupted view of Arunachala, while quiet air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and natural ventilation keep the space cool. An attached bath with hot-water geyser, eco-friendly toiletries, and ample storage completes the restful setting — inviting you to settle in, breathe deep, and simply be.
Are meals provided? What food is served?
Yes — three wholesome vegetarian meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner, all served in house. Our food is sattvic, seasonal and mostly from our own organic farm. Herbal tea and fruit are available in between.
How do I book or check availability?
Reach us directly on WhatsApp or email. We welcome both short and long stays. Advance reservation is recommended, especially around full moon days and spiritual festivals.
I don't follow a specific spiritual path. Can I still stay?
Absolutely. Arunamangala is open to anyone who values silence, simplicity and inner exploration. You don't need to belong to any tradition — a sincere heart is enough.
